In his view, the issue lies not with the music itself, however with the musicians behind it. He described lots of them as “lifeless folks strolling,” claiming they’re not obsessed with their craft.
A Cross argued that almost all artists at the moment are merely going by means of the motions, with little real care or dedication to the artwork of creating music.
He identified that a lot of the music being produced lacks depth, typically failing to encourage or uplift listeners.
Whereas the music scene is dominated by what he views as mediocrity, A Cross acknowledges that some artists are nonetheless producing high quality, significant music.
Sadly, these musicians typically go unrecognized, their work overshadowed by the mainstream traits.
