Kalifah Aganaga confronted a troublesome political showdown within the Kawempe North parliamentary by-election, ending fifth with solely 239 votes underneath the Discussion board for Democratic Change (FDC) ticket.
The election was received by Elias Nalukoola of the Nationwide Unity Platform (NUP), who secured a commanding 17,764 votes.

Regardless of the loss, Aganaga took to his social media to simply accept the outcomes and congratulate Nalukoola, saying:
Congratulations comrade, you deserve it. It was certainly an incredible struggle. I imagine you’ll work for the individuals of Kawempe North and Ugandans, and struggle for the rights of the widespread man in opposition to all injustices. Congra Congra.
Moreover, Muhammad Lusswa Luwemba, the previous PA to the late Muhammad Ssegirinya, garnered 240 votes, narrowly surpassing Aganaga by only one vote.
